MDF | MF MDF

PTA provides you the all types of PB, MFC and MDF with variety of choices in standard, design and size based on Client’s Requirement.

1. PB – stands for Particle Board, also known as chipboard, is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood chips or jute-stick chips and a synthetic resin or other suitable binder, which is pressed and extruded.

>>> HMR-PB – High Moisture Resistant Particle Board, is the PB contains a moisture resistant resin that allows it to be used in areas of high humidity such as kitchens and bathrooms. None of the other properties are impacted by the added resin.

2. MFC – stands for Melamine Faced Chipboards. It is made of wood chips from short-lived forest trees like Eucalyptus, acacia, rubber… formed into particleboard and bonded to melamine resin impregnated paper. Melamine layer helps to waterproof, resist scratches, and increase the aesthetics of the surface. MFC has a variety of colors, lightweight, easy to construct, but it not seamless, limited in thickness and low resistance to water. MFC is suitable for home and office furniture in dry areas such as wardrobes, nightstands, desks…

3. MDF – stands for Medium Density Fibreboard. Made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals wood fibers, combining it with additives (wax and a resin binder), and forming it into panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF has a higher density board than MFC, has a smooth surface that is ideal for painting, gluing and screwing.

4. MF MDF – stands for Melamine Faced Medium Density Fibreboard. Formed by covering an MDF core with a decorative resin-impregnated paper, our melamine-faced MDF is suitable for use in high quality furniture and interior design projects. The core of the material is composed of wood fibres, giving a flat and smooth surface, high density and stability, which makes it excellent for processing. It is available in a variety of thicknesses, designs and decorative finishes to one or both sides.
