Every year after the Lunar New Year, the Phuc Thanh An team organizes a visit to religious institutions and conducts charity work to help those in need in Bac Lieu province.

Phuc Thanh An charity journey to Vinh Phuoc An Tu – A Shelter for the Underprivileged

Nestled in a small alley in the bustling and verdant city of Bac Lieu, Vinh Phuoc An Tu is a home to over a hundred underprivileged people. There are children abandoned at the temple gates as newborns, and elderly people with nowhere to go and suffering from serious illnesses. These people are cared for and protected by the temple.

After more than a year of returning, the number of children and elderly people at Vinh Phuoc An Tu has increased.

According to the ladies who take care of the temple, “We heard the sound of motorbikes and crying babies. As we went out, we saw babies being abandoned, so we had to take them in. What else can we do?” There was a time when there were newborns abandoned in front of the temple gate every 1-2 days.

Each individual supports and relies on each other under the temple roof. The older children help take care of the babies. The elderly men and women take care of each other in their last days.

Hoping to provide further support for these underprivileged people, Phuc Thanh An team visited the temple in March 2024 and donated essential items, as well as gifts to each person.

We hope that the little material and spiritual contributions from Phuc Thanh An charity journey can help the individuals at Vinh Phuoc An Tu have a day filled with joy. Wish that in the future, the temple will receive more attention and support, so that the children and elderly people can have a more stable and fulfilling life.

In addition to the charity work at Vinh Phuoc An Tu, the Phuc Thanh An team also visited religious sites along the way.

This meaningful activity not only brings practical experiences but also is a journey of connecting souls, helping Phuc Thanh An members gain many valuable spiritual values.

In every spring season, the people of Phuc Thanh An will organize an annual social activity together: a prayer trip to Mother Nam Hai and Tac Say Church, combined with volunteer work to help the people in Vinh Phuoc An Pagoda.

Many children are born without the love of their parents. And there are a lot of lonely old people with no shelter. Those people have difficulties and unhappiness in their life. So why don’t we give them a helping hand? With the desire to help, people of Phuc Thanh An had a volunteer visit at Vinh Phuoc An pagoda on February 12, 2023.

We met, talked and gave gifts in the hope of contributing, supporting and sharing a little luck to the underprivileged in the temple. Vinh Phuoc An pagoda is home to more than 100 orphans and unfortunate elderly.

Visits religious institutions

Besides charity activities at Vinh Phuoc An pagoda, people of Phuc Thanh An also visited religious facilities along the route.

This annual activity helps Phuc Thanh An members learn positive things, improve the quality of our spiritual and moral life, and at the same time listen to our hearts more deeply.

Love is giving, business not only contributes to the community materially but also spiritually.

In the jubilant atmosphere of intimate gifts and cozy meals of this Christmas season, there are still some unfortunate lives that can not enjoy that joy and happiness.

With the spirit of “Love is giving” and the desire to share difficulties with the community, people of Phuc Thanh An organized a small charity activity on the morning of December 24, 2023.

Hopefully, a little material and also spiritual contribution from Phuc Thanh An can help the children at Tam Binh Children’s Protection Center have a warm, loving and joyful Christmas. Phuc Thanh An sincerely wishes the children to always be happy and joyful not only on Christmas but every day of the year.

Pilgrimage to Ba Den Mountain

This is a bulletin about the annual activities of PHUC THANH AN JSC: Pilgrimage to Ba Pagoda (Ba Den Mountain) and Tay Ninh Holy Temple.

PHUC THANH AN had paid a visit to Hang Pagoda and Ba Pagoda on October 15, 2022. These two pagodas are located in the middle of Ba Den mountain, one of three mountains (Ba Den mountain, Phung mountain, Heo mountain) belonging to the cultural and historical relic complex of Ba Den mountain. At these places, the members of PHUC THANH AN had the opportunity to visit, pray, and visit the Buddhist exhibition.

After the pilgrimage to Ba Den Mountain, the members of PHUC THANH AN visited Tay Ninh Holy Temple – a religious work of Cao Dai religion, located in the inner suburb of Tay Ninh Holy See. The members of the delegation had new experiences about religion, beliefs as well as cultural values.

This annual event provides an opportunity for everyone to expand their religious knowledge and etiquette. The journey is also a short course in ethics. By meeting and interacting with different religions, PHUC THANH AN members learn positive things, improve the quality of their spiritual life, listen to their hearts more deeply and lead a good lifestyle.

This annual activity is also associated with the mission of PHUC THANH AN: accompanying each other, building a sustainable group, and contributing our efforts to bring practical values to society.

OUR JOURNEY “GIVE & TAKE”, BINH THUAN JULY 2022

“There is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving” – Henry Drummond!

An annual activity: our prayed trip located in Our Lady of Ta Pao and Thay Thim Pagoda combined with a charitable activity; this is a significant time that we live slowly step back, think and listen to our hope together, and keep our promise in magnanimous purpose “give & take”.

Hue Duc Pagoda is an orphan’s home where the temple abbot teaches and brings up children to help them have a better life. We visited Hue Duc Pagoda to organize a charitable venture on 16th, July 2022. Had a chance to converse with the temple abbot and the nun, we hope our presents could be supported a part of children’s life.
